mediven active® – The hard wearing compression sock

For the active man: mediven active® is a robust round-knitted medical compression sock that withstands high stresses, but is nevertheless soft. Thanks to the fine-ribbed design, it looks like a completely normal man's sock. It is used for treating veins. Due to the material thickness, the fit and the product characteristics, we recommend mediven active for amongst others for normal weight to overweight men with light to heavy tendency to venous oedema (leg swelling) as well as for those with soft connective tissue.*

The indications:

• chronic venous disease stages I and II according to Widmer or C0s – C4 according to CEAP
• postoperative reperfusion oedema
• post-traumatic, postoperative, occupational, medicinally induced oedema
• oedema due to immobility
• superficial venous thrombosis
• condition after thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome
• thrombosis prophylaxis in mobile patients
• inflammatory dermatoses of the legs

mediven active® fits perfectly in the shoe: the special knitting technique ensures an imperceptible, barely visible seam. It also has a comfort sole with heel reinforcement. The sock fits like a second skin and is very hard-wearing. mediven active® is suitable for shoe sizes 38 to 48.

Intended purpose

• Round-knitted medical compression stocking used for compression of the lower extremities, mainly for the treatment of disorders of the venous system.

Indications

• Chronic venous disease: C0s - C4 according to CEAP
• Postoperative reperfusion oedema
• Post-traumatic, postoperative, occupational oedema, medicinally induced oedema
• Oedema due immobility
• Superficial venous thrombosis
• Condition after thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome
• Thrombosis prophylaxis in mobile patients  

Compression socks are divided into:

CCL1 - when there is a small degree of varicose veins, swelling of the legs in the evening, during long trips, when tired, painful legs are constantly felt.
CCL2 – in case of varicose veins, swelling of the legs, deep vein thrombosis, lymphedema, after surgical treatment of varicose veins of the legs.
It is very important to choose the right size according to the size chart. Please refer to the size chart.

Putting on/taking off compression socks or tights
It is recommended to put on compression socks or tights in the morning, before getting up, before the swelling of the legs has started. It is best to use rubber gloves as this will make it easier to put on and take off the compression socks or tights. Feet must be dry.
Using rubber gloves, rub the sock or pantyhose over the foot and heel until the heel is in place. Do not pull the sock by the top edge.

Washing instructions

It can be washed by hand and in a washing machine, using the hand wash mode. Water temperature - no more than 40°C. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Rinse well.
After washing, carefully hang to dry. Do not leave them lying damp on a towel. Do not leave to dry on heaters, radiators or in direct sunlight. Do not iron with an iron.

Composition:

• CCL 1: 10% elastane, 90% polyamide
• CCL 2: 11% elastane, 89% polyamide
